Take a look at what every bride should be asking her wedding photographer:

Hiring a wedding photographer is extremely important if you want to be 100% certain that your Big Day will be “preserved” as beautifully as possible. However, before you strike a deal with anyone, you should make sure to pose some key questions. They will give you a better idea of how qualitative your photographer is and of how suitable he/she is for your wedding. Here are some of the most important questions to keep in mind:

  • The experience. Ask your photographer about his/her experience: how long he/she has been doing this, if he/she can show you some reviews/recommendations/references from previous customers, if he/she has worked with some of your other wedding vendors before, and so on.

  • The style. Before you hire a photographer, make sure to talk to him/her about your wedding’s style. Ask him/her if he/she has done something similar before and, if possible, if he/she can show you some photos.

  • The technicalities. Ask your photographer if he/she will be using film, digital or both types of cameras. Furthermore, ask him/her how many photos are included in the price, how much everything costs (including overtime fees), how many photos will be retouched (if any of them will be) and when you will receive the negatives/CD as well.

  • The backup plans. Don’t forget to ask your photographer about his/her liability insurance and about what happens if he/she falls ill before the wedding day too. Most likely, these things will be included in the contract you sign as well, but it is definitely worth asking before you are faced with an actual document.
